Coverage

HIT – Health Insurance in Turkey provides coverage for foreign individuals who are planning to have one of the specified surgeries or treatments below in Turkey. Coverage becomes valid in case of repetition of the same surgery due to complications that should arise after the primary surgery. Both the primary surgery and the repetition surgery should be undertaken in Turkey. The policy is valid for 6 months starting from the date of commencement.

Age limits are 18 and 75 and persons of 75 years of age and over are excluded from insurance coverage. Policy production is made by using passport number. Policy production is made by using passport number.

This policy is only valid in case the treatments for complications of surgeries, interventions and medical treatments, performed within the territory of Republic of Turkey after policy commencement date. However, minor interventions and medical treatments related to early complications such as discharge from the wound, infection related to the medical intervention / surgery that the Insured had after returning to his/her home country, and medical treatments that will not require him/her to come back to Turkey again are also covered together with the intervention in native country coverage in his/her own country. Valid covarage limits are specified in the policy and certificate.

Diş planında ödenebilecek komplikasyonlar diş çekimi, cerrahi diş çekimi, kanal tedavisi, implant uygulaması, protez diş uygulaması ve periodontoloji uygulamaları sonrası gelişen giderlerdir. Ortodontik tedaviler teminat dışıdır.

Protez diş uygulamasında protezin rengi veya şeklinin beğenilmemesi gibi sorunlar komplikasyon sayılmayacak ve tazminat ödemesi yapılmayacaktır. Cerrahi diş çekiminde gecikmiş kanama, diş eti enfeksiyonu, diş parçasının kalmış olması; implant uygulamalarında implantın yerine tam oturmaması, yerinde oynaması, yerinden çıkması, çene kemiğine zarar vermesi gibi komplikasyonlar teminat kapsamındadır.

Göz planında, excimer laser, lasik gibi kırılma kusuru cerrahisi, katarakt ameliyatı, ptosis ameliyatı, glokom ameliyatı, retina dekolmanı ameliyatına ilişkin gelişebilecek komplikasyonlar poliçe teminatları içindedir.

Excimer laser ameliyatlarında flep kayması, keratit, flep altına epitel yürümesi, ameliyattan 60 gün sonra yapılan muayenede görmenin 0,75 dereceden fazla bozuk olması;

Katarakta ameliyatında; kanama, gözün delinmesi (perforasyon), lensin kapsulünün yırtılması, kornea tabakasının şeffaflığını yitirmesi, kesi yerinde yanık oluşması, göz içinde katarakta ait parçaların kalması, enfeksiyon, retina ayrılması (dekolman), sarı nokta da ödem, rahatsız ve ağrılı göz, düşük göz kapağı, göz tansiyon hastalığı (glokom) ve /veya çift görme; ameliyattan 60 gün sonra yapılan muayenede görmenin 1 dereceden fazla bozuk olması, arka kapsül opaklaşması;

Ptosis ameliyatında; göz kapağı düşüklüğünün nüks etmesi,

Retina dekolmanı ameliyatında dekolmanın nüks etmesi, göz içine kanama, katarakt ve glokom oluşması;

Glokom ameliyatında konjonktival yırtılma, skleral flep hasarı, vitreus kaybı, santral görme alanı kaybı, dekompresyon retinopatisi, enfeksiyon, bleb sızıntısı, suprakoroidal hemoraji, üveit gibi komplikasyonlar teminat altındadır.

Saç ekimi planında, sigortalı / hastanın işlem yapan hekimin tavsiyelerine uymaması sonucu (erken dönemde saç tarama ve fırçalaması, saç yıkama prosedürüne uyulmaması, saç ekimi sonrası yapılması gereken bakımların yapılmaması gibi) oluşan komplikasyonlar ve saç ekiminin tutmaması teminat dışındadır.

Tüm bu tavsiyelere uyulmasına rağmen ekilen saç köklerinin tutmaması veya saç cildinde enfeksiyon gelişmesine yönelik yapılacak tedaviler ve tekrar saç ekimi teminat kapsamındadır. Tazminat talebinin ödenmesi için saç ekimi sonrası tavsiyelere uyulmuş olduğunun doktor raporu ile tespit edilmesi gerekir.

Yapılacak revizyon ekimde, ilk girişimde yapılan ekim adedi üzerinde ekim teminat kapsamı dışındadır.

Sigortalının Türkiye’de bulunan bir sağlık kurumunda periferik damar cerrahisi, varis ameliyatı, kalp kapak replasmanı, valvüloplasti , koroner arter by pass cerrahisi, koroner stent uygulaması, büyük damar replasmanı gibi bir ameliyat / girişim sonrası gelişen restenoz, stent kayması gibi ilgili ameliyat için tıbbi literatürde belirtilen olası komplikasyonlar teminat altındadır.

Demir Sağlık ve Hayat Sigorta A.Ş., sigortalının tazminat taleplerinin değerlendirmesinde gerekirse bağımsız bir uzmandan ikinci görüş alabilir. Demir Sağlık ve Hayat AŞ komplikasyon tazminatlarına ait ödemeler için son karar merciidir.

Tüm bu cerrahi veya tıbbi girişim/uygulama gerektiren durumlarda refakatçi olması ve gerekmesi halinde dahi refakatçiye ait sağlık kurumundaki konaklama ve diğer bedeller ve gerekse ulaşım, otel konaklama giderleri ödenmez (Ek refakatçi planı alınmış olması halinde refakatçiye ait ulaşım (uçak) ve otel konaklama bedelleri teminat limitleri dahilinde ödenir.)

Tüm cerrahi işlemlerde ameliyat öncesi hastaya imzalatılmış olan bilgilendirme ve onam formunda yazılı komplikasyonlar teminat altındadır.(Vefat hariç)

Estetik ameliyatlarda; yapılan ameliyatın kişisel beğeniye uymaması nedenli revizyon talepleri karşılanmayacaktır. Ancak, yapılan ameliyatta başarısız olunması (burun estetiğinde burun ucu düşmesi, eğrilik kalması, nasal septum perforasyonu; göğüs estetiğinde asimetri, düşme, implant delinmesi ve kapsüler kontraktür gibi) sonucu gerçekleşecek revizyonlar teminat altındadır.

Botox uygulamaları poliçe kapsamında değildir.

Flight Ticket Coverage2022-11-10T20:05:04+03:00

The economy class flight tickets to Turkey due to having a secondary operation/surgery under the coverage of Healthcare Tourism Complication Coverage. Insurance are also covered in some insurance plans within the limits and deductions specified in each policy. Coverage is indicated on the insurance certificate and/or policy. The plans with the flight ticket coverage cover tickets up to USD 1,000 and there is a USD 500 deductible. In case the insured is entitled to indemnity, the insured will be reimbursed for the amount higher than the deduction amount up to the flight ticket coverage limit.

Accommodation Coverage2022-11-10T20:05:20+03:00

Accommodation expenses paid by the insured, for the treatment of the complication that occurred due to the initial surgery in Turkey, are reimbursed under this coverage at a maximum of USD 100 per day and a total limit of USD 500. Accommodation for the first 5 days is deductible and coverage is applied for the accommodations after 5 days. The accommodation period includes the staying period before and after the treatment in Turkey, outside of the healthcare institution. Optional accommodation without a medical necessity is excluded from coverage. The necessity of accommodation is determined by a physician report.

Intervention in Native Country Coverage2022-11-10T20:05:40+03:00

May be purchased optionally. Minor interventions and medical treatments, related to early complications, such as discharge in wound and infection, related to medical procedure/surgery, experienced by the insured after returning to native country, which do not require the insured to return, will be reimbursed within the limits, specified in the policy and certificate under this coverage.

For reimbursement of these expenses, the insured must deliver medical report and original invoice, bank information for payment (SWIFT, IBAN), via mail. Following evaluation, payment for covered expenses, will be made to the bank account of insured, subject to coverage limits. In payments, bank transfer and swift expenses will be deducted from coverage limits.

Companion Expenses Coverage2022-11-10T20:05:59+03:00

May be purchased optionally only in Surgery and Cardiovasclar Surgery plans. Related coverage is not valid for the initial procedure/surgery to be applied in Turkey. On activation of policy coverages during the secondary procedure to be performed on the insured, transportation and accommodation expenses for one companion, who will travel to Turkey with the insured, will be reimbursed, subject to coverage limits and exemptions, specified in policy and certificate.

Companion expenses in hospital invoice during hospitalization, are excluded.

Travel Policy Coverage2022-11-10T20:06:15+03:00

This is included in all plans. Healthcare, ambulance, medical consultancy and transfer of remains expenses, are considered within the framework of coverage limits and travel health insurance special conditions (separately presented in the annex).
